Paris, our German Shorthaired Pointer, turned three on January 31st. I have been taking her to agility classes for about a year and a half now, an activity we both enjoy. One of these days, when I become a better handler, I plan to enter her into competition. Paris has turned out to be a very sweet dog with lots of energy. We faithfully take her on lots of walks at our local park. After losing Madison she became a little more serious. She obviously missed her. Paris always enjoyed curling up with Madison who gave her a lot of comfort. Happily we found a little sister for Paris right away. Dakota came into our lives on April 21, 2007. Paris immediately found her to be the perfect companion to take her mind off Madison.Dakota was born February 22, 2007 in Susanville, California.

Sophie, our one and only cat, is over 12 years old! She is totally an outdoor cat and keeps the mice in our field, barn, and chicken coop at bay. She is also very good at taunting Paris by sitting on the patio at dinnertime as Paris stares at her through the sliding glass door or by sleeping in the green house on a high shelf where Paris cannot reach her.
